Sachham Projects for the Chepang in Chitwan

in cooperation with Laxmi Pratisthan

To increase the impact of our work, we are networked with organizations in both Switzerland and Nepal that pursue similar goals.

We also work closely with local organizations within the framework of our projects. The purpose of these collaborations is to generate greater impact locally and, through the exchange of knowledge and experience, to create the best possible conditions for the benefit of children and young people, even with limited resources. We are currently working with the Laxmi Pratisthan Foundation on various project ideas.

School in Kanda (Chitwan, Bagmati Province)

Thanks to donations, we are able to finance a teacher for the eighth grade at the affiliated school in Kanda. With the introduction of the eighth grade, it is now possible for children at this school to obtain their first state school leaving certificate. After just one year, this school has already been recognized as the best of 34 schools in the entire district.

Health Worker Training

Together with the organization Shanti Med, which operates a hospital in Ratnanagar that was recognized as the best regional hospital in Bagmati Province in 2025, and with financial support from the Swiss Embassy in Kathmandu, we have launched a training project for young women from the region, primarily aimed at benefiting the local Chepang population in underserved areas. The first five young women will begin the three-year training program in November 2025 at Balkumari College in Bharatpur.
